All About Pocket Knives

I'm BaaAAAaaack...and have yet another knife whose provenance I can't figure out.

This is a small German pearl knife, two blades, bolsters are integral to the liners. It is marked "No. 55" and "Germany" on both blades. On the pile side of each blade is a picture of a flower and crossed swords. The flowers are different on each blade, and on one of the blades the crossed swords have a superimposed "S".

It seems solid and well-made, and the pearl is quite pretty (albeit badly cracked on one side).

I bought it because of the unusual (to me) tang stamps. Does anyone know what No. 55 relates to? I tried the search function, but it ignores the 55.

I think I just found the answer to my own question...

I looked at another knife on ebay and saw that "55" was used by Heinrich Kaufmann. Looking in Anthony Carter's book, I don't see these logos as they are on the knife, but there are elements of them mentioned, and it seems that the company used dozens of different logos and trademarks, including the crossed swords with an "S", and poppies and lilies. So, I'm going with Kaufmann.
