Schrade Cut Co Salesman Sample

Guys,
Please take a look at this beauty of a knife that I am considering. It is a legitimate Salesman's Sample and looks to be mint in all respects.
I haven't run into the likes of this one in quite a while. Certainly not anything close on the Bay.
I would appreciate your thoughts on value of this one.

An early mentor of mine in collecting told me there would be times when a knife comes around. A once in a lifetime piece. I followed the directions when I could, “Get on it like a rash.” I think this knife qualifies, if one has deep pockets.

800. Actually I have one at least that rare and desirable and probably more so, and when I offer it , the price will be 1000. Not kidding.

I think $500 without the ink on it is realistic. Easily a couple hundred more as a salesman sample.
