So I just ordered this old camp knife. It was listed as USA made but the only visible marking is a lizard. Searching for lizard tang stamp wasn’t very helpful although it may have been used by Cataragus? Anyway it’s a super cool knife that I would love to have answers for. The blade is engraved P or R Floyd 1919.

I have one knife that has a similar stamp on it. Sorry it's not very clear.
The knife that it is on is a French pinlock that was made by BARGE-TARRY between 1898-1900.
Anyway that's what I came up with on mine.

Wow thanks. I’m not sure if they’re the same stamps but it’s a lead at least.

That makes a lot of sense. Easily could have been picked up in France after the Great War.
