New project. Gonna slim this rusted shut, broken scaled old Gamble Stokes (I think that is what the tang says, hard to tell) down to a slim single blade with the Wenge wood scales. Gonna look pretty sweet!!

Fairly rare knife. GAMBLE STORES was a chain of hardware/automotive stores (similar to Western Auto) in the upper Midwest and west. That one looks to have been made by Camillus.

I have seen very few knives with that stamp over the years, and all have been that same "cattle" pattern with a punch, some different composition handle covers but the identical pattern.

Yes, made by Camillus. I have one with red plastic handles that I tried to replace the punch on it. I didn't get it just right, and haven't gone back and tried to fix it again.
They are very well-made knives, and you don't see them often.
