All About Pocket Knives

Here is a knife that sat in my shop for a long time that I finally got around to repairing. It was missing the mark side bolster, throw spring, release button, sear and quite a bit of bone. I didn’t get a picture of it before I started work but you can get an idea of what it looked like from the first two pictures. It works fine now and the blade sits nice and low in the frame. Repaired but whole again.

Great looking repair, did you remove the handle cover to do this ? Just curious.

No, I left the handle on. Used a piece of Schrade Cut bone to bridge between the slide lock and button release. The rest is epoxy repair. Thanks again for the kind words.

Ah, ya .. thats the most difficult area to deal with. Long ago i put a piece of plastic on top of the slide area then epoxy but it just kept hanging it up till it finally fell apart.. again, nice repair!
