Here are three Westerns from different eras.
Top- Western/Boulder, Colo.
Patent number is on the pile side.
Center- Western States
Bottom- Western / USA L628
I got got the top knife several years ago. There was no handle on the knife when I got it. I installed giraffe bone handles with Mosaic pins. The spacers are the ones that were on the knife when I received it. This sheath is my attempt to replicate the style of sheath Western used, at least in some of their knives.
The center folder is a Western States blade and frame but with a salvaged Ka-Bar back spring. The handle is Culpepper's CSB, I think the color was apricot.
The bottom, L628 was of course made The blade was a blank from the Camillus factory sale.
. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
