Anyone ever file down the portion of the handle on their Griptillian under the pocket clip, so it doesn't chew up your pants pockets so badly?
Love my big Grip but it is brutal on my pants pockets.

I did that very thing with both of my Mini Grips but then I ended up removing the clip anyway and carrying the knife clipless in my pocket.
That checkering will eat up some pocket fabric but it sure does provide a secure grip.

I do like the grip provided by that checkering, works great with wet or bloody hands.
What did you use to smooth yours out Rick?

Mike, I just folded up a small piece of sandpaper and smoothed out the area where the clip touches the checkering.
I don’t remember what grit I used but it was a pretty fine grit. I never really got to test it out much after that because I started removing the clip on all of my knives very shortly after that.
I’m not sure if the rest of the checkering would still wear the fabric but I wanted to start with the area where the checkering and clip meet.

Got it done this morning with some 80 grit. Worked great, much smoother in and out of the pocket now. Had to bend the clip just slightly to account for the slight loss in surface area from the sanded texturing, but it's good to go now.

I know...I know...

I thought of that, but it's still pretty secure! Now I'm gonna be double checking...

Decided to upgrade to a deep carry clip. Ordered it direct from Benchmade a week ago, arrived yesterday. Kudos to them for being so quick amidst the holidays. Only cost 10 bucks.
