Grinding Jig

Hi guys,
Due to an accident I had with the bench sander yesterday, I have been looking at buying a jig of some kind, as I am new to this I do not really want to spend much money and buy the wrong kinda thing.
I have how ever found this on ebay and wondered what you guys think ?? Swould it be worth it at my level entry stage ???

I made mine out of a piece of steel angle and some 1/4" bolts....
If you have a drill and a tap you can do it.
That would be my idea of an entry level grinding jig.

Thanks Mike,
I am thinking that for the cost on ebay it would not be worth my time to make one ( I expect I can get the materials from one of our site skips )
But the cost on ebay is less than an hours work for myself...........so on a financial basis if the thing looks ok to you guys I would sooner pay a for it, atm I do not have a tapping kit so theres an expense straight away.

Just out of curiosity, what is this jig to be used for? In reading about your accident, you were flattening the back of a handle slab? Or is it for putting the bevel on a blade blank?

It’s for putting the bevel on, but my injury has made me think of reducing the risks as I’m still pretty green with this

I agree, if you don't have the tools to make one then the one on eBay would be cheaper than buying the parts and tools to make one.
I have bits of steel and lots of tools, and I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to making tools, so I would probably make my own, but I understand that my approach is not always the best one.

Just watched it, and that particular jig is super simple, I may make one now ha !!!
The youtube I watched before show how to make the more complicated adjustable version like the one I have bought, I thought for the time it would take to bi=uild I buy one for 25 quid.
I should of done bit more research.
