All About Pocket Knives

Here's one that Kaleb just completed for me. I gotta say Kaleb, never imagined it would look this great. You did a flawless job as usual my friend. This was a knife my dad carried for alot of years and I wanted to do something to preserve it and his memory so I had Muskrat put new Burl scales on it and it was reborn. Before it was just a cheap little plastic slider, now it's a very nice gentleman's carry knife and I will carry it. This knife is a real pleasure to carry now. Thank you Muskrat Man for turnin a dud into a Stud. Here's some in progress pics, hope you enjoy them.

I know to alot of people this would not seem like a knife worthy of such a transformation but in my opinion, any knife is if it has some personal meaning attached to it. BTW, your Case rope knife with Juniper scales and filework is one of my favorites. Very nice man!

I think the whole point of what we do is to take something without much in the way of monetary value, items that most people would glance past without a second thought, and we give it a personality (or, we allow them to show everyone what we always knew was there), something that makes them stop and say "Wow! what's that?".

I pulled my grandfathers 34ot out at the brewhouse the other night, and showed it to a friends father. I let him fondle and ogle it for a while, and he asked where I bought it from. "It's just an old schrade"... the look on his face made me wish I had a camera

You know you said it Adam, there is a moment when you see what something can become and that is the whole experience of design or coming up with something new and different for you personally and before you know it others are drawn to that item for the same reason. I showed this to a friend of mine today and he said, what is that? I said a knife. He said, get outta here. I said, it's true, look. He said it was the coolest thing he'd seen in a while. Now, that being said, he was drawn to a concept not a knife but now he wants the knife. BTW, it ain't for sale I told him. I rest my case. Thanks for your kind words guys.
