Italy - Maniago Brand Knives.

Recently, this advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife arrived. It was in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. However, I did not buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. It is a MANIAGO, one blade, one tang stamp, 2 1/4" closed (not including the loop or ring), advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "MANIAGO" The main handle side says "DENTIFRICI ANTISETTICI - ROMA DOTT MAGGI" The other handle side also says "DENTIFRICI ANTISETTICI - ROMA DOTT MAGGI" Rough translation, both handle sides, "ANTISEPTIC TOOTHPASTES ROME DR MAGGI" Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Maniago was and still is a little bit the SOLINGEN of Italy, later in the 40;s and 50;s gotten famous for their switch blade production!!

Nice old knife, Skip. MKM out of that area makes some really quality knives with excellent fit and finish.
