KA BAR/BEAN RE-HANDLE

I got lucky re-scaling the NOVELTY moose so I thought I'd try this L.L.BEAN/KA BAR fish knife. It was yellow celluloid, totally gassed and shattered but the brass liners were good. The Brazilian rosewood Jeff Hostetter gave me really did the trick. I'm happy with it. The yellow fish knife shown is a Case XX,USA but it looks like the repaired one "before", just for comparison. Thanks. It's a nice knife. Blade is razor sharp and snappy. Really wanted to use it but it was shot. J.O'.

I'm learning wood is a lot more forgiving than pearl or bone. Thanks. O'.

Looking good, excellent workmanship from what I can see in your pics. Yeah, wood is much more forgiving that lots of material. Good show and good job, keep them coming, like seeing the handiwork and pretty knives when they are finished.
