All About Pocket Knives

For those of you with ROBESON catalogs, does this knife look correct?

Looks correct. Don't have a catalog but the number is right. Hard to find knife and looks to be in great condition. Nice!

Definitely pre-WWII.

I’ve never seen the patent on the locking mechanism, but Robeson almost surely held it via their inhouse mechanical genius James Lewis. ( I think that’s the correct name. I’ll research it)

That would give ys a start date for these types of knives. There were, roughly, about a half dozen different patterns, mostly English of varying sizes and handle materials, the fish knife and a toothpick.

There is toothpick on Ebay now, but the lick is missing.

I generally consider these knives to be from the 1930’s.
