I see a few of these on line and have been offered one to purchase. Does anyone know whose is making them and where? There are pictures online, are mint and appear new. I thought maybe Queen made these, but when a few of them were shown now, It makes me think they were made just recently.____Dave

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office trade name/trademark registry, the name Hammer Brand is owned by Taylor Brands, which in my experience probably means Made in China. I suppose they could have contracted someone else to make them though.
Interestingly the registry shows two active listings (and several “dead”) for “Hammer Brand”. The stamp having the graphic symbol with the arm and hammer depicted belongs to Taylor. The more simple stamp having just the words Hammer Brand is assigned to Imperial Knife Co. But if you look up Imperial Knife Co. the registry says that trade name is owned by Imperial Schrade, which is owned by Taylor Brands. So any way you look at it, it’s Taylor Brands.

Thanks Ken. They appear to be very nice knives, but too new looking for me. A friend has offered one for me to purchase and I was excited when I heard Hammer Brand, Ivory handled and mint, but when I looked it up on line and saw 4 or 5 of them, all mint, I knew they were being made somewhere now and nothing gave me a hint where. I suspected China.____Dave

No, I wish it was. They are more of a modern looking clasp style with split scales with a fairly large spacer between the two pieces of ivory on each side.___Dave
