All About Pocket Knives

This is for a friend. The Winchester in the pic below. Anyone know when they were made, who made them, approximate current value? Not my field of collecting.

Here's a knife with the same blade etch. Most likely a German made knife sold through SMKW. Is Germany stenciled on the back of the blade?
