A FB that's a little different

Another one that I picked up this weekend.
It looks middle eastern to me, but I'm not sure.
It has some type of crude engraving on the blade.
There is a spring loaded lever on the back of the metal sheath that has a pin on the end. The pin goes through a hole in the sheath, it then engages in the indentation in the blade. This secures the knife in the sheath until the lever is depressed.
Overall length is approximately 9 3/8 inches. Blade is 5 1/2.

Any information would be appreciated.

"a little different...", I'd say a lot different David, I've never seen anything like that! The first thought when I saw it was a Roman gladiator's short sword! 8)
