Without watching the video, my opinion is that a weapon is anything that is used to harm, injure, or kill another living being. A tool is anything that is used to accomplish a task (excluding the afore mentioned) desired to be done by the user.

Is a fork, screwdriver, baseball bat, chainsaw, etc, etc, etc, a tool or a weapon?

Not watching the video either ... but it's all a matter of semantics .

A knife is an inanimate object. Only the mind and actions of the user determine its function.

.... and cue the arguments . . . . .

::tu:: Anything can be used as a weapon if it's the person's intention to do so, even words.

A pocketknife can be both, depends on the circumstances.

I'd say tool, a gun is a weapon. Just about anything can be considered a weapon. Probably more people killed by cars than guns.

I sometimes use a .22 rifle to trim the shrubs, then its a tool. I also consider the 22 hornet a tool when I dispatch a critter with it. Not sure what they are wile bench shooting. My m16 was a weapon, except on new Years eve in kontum when we filled the sky with tracers when it became a toy?? I carry a knife daily to generally use as a tool, cept when I think it might come in handy as a defensive weaqpon??

Either, but you could simply ask all your questions or pose your opinions just as easily without the clickbait.

From what I've gathered, he's not keen on the conversation aspect of the forum. He'd rather drop a video and let others discuss. ::shrug::

I think a knife is a tool first than a weapon in the second.I wonder how many people have been killed by lineman pliers...is there such a thing as "only ever a tool" or only ever a "Knife"?

Personally I’ve always seen a knife as a tool, but if I had no option ie my life or my families was being threatened then yes it would become a weapon as would a screwdriver or a hammer etc ::tu::

Statistics prove that 90% of knife crimes are committed with a kitchen knife, yet they don't ban kitchen knives, do they! A knife can be many things in many different circumstances, but generally knives are for cutting and guns are the weapons! 8)

Yeah, I see that, hardly ever reply to any of his threads and never ever watch his videos. He says he is not trying to get his youtube ratings up but it seems to me that is all he's doing. Maybe some like it, maybe just not my cup of tea.

Depends where you fly on a passenger jet if a knife is a weapon. My son went on a couple of passenger planes. Economy class he got plastic knife and fork. The next flight he was upgraded to first class. He said the gave him metal knife and fork. He then said that if you are rich it only a eating utensil .

I watched the video, because I don't think it's realistic to scrutinize something you know nothing about. Having said that, this seems to be the most popular Ninja knife, not a folder.
