Mass produced during WWII, they sell for about $20 on Ebay. Nothing special about this one except it used to belong to my uncle who passed away about 30 years ago. Compared to the picture on the Manufacturer's page here on AAPK, this handle has been shaped. It is very comfortable to hold.

Nice knife. Here is the updated version, as made by Ontario. Stainless steel, not carbon, but a nice one.

For too many years it was thought these 225 were a Quartermaster TOOLS, and not a combat knife. That notion has been thoroughly debunked.
