Camillus 883

I had picked up this 3 and 1/4 inch Camillus 883 stainless steel stockman a while back for $3 and had put it away and forgot about it. Being on "house arrest" for over a week now (Covid) led me to look for a few projects to tackle and I remembered that I had not redone this one yet. It was missing one of the factory glued on wooden scales, but the biggest problem is the master clip blade. I can just see 2 fellows, and one says to the other "You know Bubba, I think I can lay a razor edge on that clip blade with the 60 grit bench grinder". After seeing the results of that effort, at least they had the good sense to not touch the sheepsfoot and spey blade, as they are still pristine. I had a narrow, long piece of stag that I had kept for a small knife that fit this job perfectly. And because they are cut from the same piece, they match perfectly. The edge of the clip was straightened up and sharpened with the Lansky. I did not try to remove all the extraneous grinder marks as that would have required removal of a lot of metal. Its good enough to be in my pocket now as an EDC.
