Hey Jeff;
According to lgvi(6) Knife World said that I believe. They were imported by Harlan Willis Burbank of Louisville,Ken. from ? to 1972. Just received the new blades book. From initial look it appears sort of like an updated lgiv. At $38-- w/delivery its a reasonable buy considering what lgiv's are going for.Does the knife have a picture of El Toro. Supposed to have one.

It is etched along the length of the blade followed by what looks like the running bull? does this sound right?

The etch says Soligen, forgot that the first time.
The shield is plain except for a pin through the center.

Hey;
I verified with lgiv and it does not indicate where, only that its there including solingen, the dates are the same in both.

Goins' Encyclopedia mentions the firm...from 1930-1975...and a bull and "El Toro" (the bull) logos...but nothing else.
Ritchie and Stewart just mention "Bull Brand."

I have one exactly like this. No bull. (no pun intended)
Its been in my pocket for almost 40 years. Before that it was in
my Dads for who knows how long. Not that I would ever sell it, but I wonder what it is worth. Does anyone know? If so, post. Thanks.
