All About Pocket Knives

Along with all my other EDC gear I always carry my main knife in my front right pocket, and a small Victorinox Classic in my right back pocket

In the watch pocket of my jeans.

Right front pocket.

Right front pocket, and right rear pocket.

Everywhere I go

Gerber auto clipped in right pocket and slip joint in left front. The gerber is my work knife and has to be easily accessed and opened one handed for when I’m in a tight spot or hands are oily/greasy.

Here lately Gerber sharkbelly clipped to my right front pocket and Case 63087 in my left front pocket. I do rotate a Benchmade Barrage clipped to my right front pocket and Case of my liking that day in my left front pocket.

"Everywhere legal." is the stock answer.

As to on where on my person??
Buck 110 - Left front pocket, sometimes a Kabar 1121
Pro-Tech TR4 - right front pocket,
BK-11 left rear pocket,
fixed blade 1 of the day - left hip 0800 to 1000,
fixed blade 2 of the day - right hip 0200 to 0400.

Then there are the "spares, extras, backups, etc" in the glove boxes, trucks, behind the truck seat.

Each vehicle has an "emergency bag" containing a BK16 and a B9, a Buck 110 and a Kabar 1121, a sharpening stone, a Stanley box cutter/extra blades in the handle, a machete, water filter & purification tablets, collapsible canteen, first aid kit and bandages, fire-starting kit, compass, maps, light line, fishing kit, boonie hat, rainwater collection plastic, sunscreen, and probably a few items I have forgotten about.

For many, many years, I carried my Trapper, Stockman or Folding Hunter in my right front jean pocket. Now that I have been doing concealed carry, my right front pocket is not easily accessible due to holster position, my knife is in the left front pocket. Bib overalls while working still get a knife in the RFP and a tactical in the breast pocket.

I carry a modern tactical folder in my rf pocket (clipped) along with a peanut style/size in my rf watch pocket. I carry a traditional in my left front pocket often in a slip sheath (depends on choice of the day). My two favorite choices for lf are a gec boys knife or a case mini copperlock (both in slip sheath). Since I'm out and about everyday for work, I prefer to have an option on which blade I use for fear of frightening someone.

Always right front pocket. Putting it somewhere else I never
will know if I lost it.

For most of my life my pocket knife resided in my right front pocket. That was a kinder, gentler, era. Now my pocket knife goes in my left front pocket while a .38 snubbie resides in my right front pocket.

I am 68 years old and have always carried a knife or 2 as tools. I never dreamed there would come a time when I would feel the need for a defensive weapon. But those times are here I guess. Schrade 206 barlow in left pocket, a SAK Spartan in cargo pocket and a .380 pocket pistol in right pocket. Sad times indeed.

Left front jeans pocket. With nothing else in there to scratch it. Truck keys and change in right pocket.
