Can anyone tell me what brand of knife this is? And maybe the age of it? The note with it written by my grandmother in 1982 says it was her grandfather's and that he brought it with him as a boy from Scotland to Nova Scotia. It doesn't look 100 years old to me, but I'm not even a novice when it comes to this.

I believe that the note must have been written for a different knife.
That looks like a 1980's cheap import knife to me.

Best guess is no older than the late 60’s and probably more recent. It would have been an inexpensive knife.

The knife appears to be an inexpensive model inspired by the Buck 110 folding hunter knife. The Buck 110 was introduced in 1964, so it's very unlikely that this knife was made prior to that, and quite likely was manufactured at least a few years after the 110 was introduced.

Yeah, this was probably a knife of my dad's that he bought at a truckstop or a K-Mart. I'm thinking the knife that went with the note was already given to me as a young man when I was prone to not care about such things. I can't remember, though.
Thanks for the responses!
