All About Pocket Knives

Here is another Sod Buster I did. Cocobolo scales with Stainless Liners and Nickle Silver hardware. I ground a half stop on the blade and did a hand rubbed finish. Hope you like it, but either way let me know what you think.

Thats what I like to hear Diligence, the guy that got this one said it is going in the display case, but it may make it to his pocket later, I hope sooner rather than later

to this, and I like the latter much better.

i think both ornate and simple filework has it's place, depends on the project.

Once again I agree Johnny and MOST of all it depends on the knife pattern. Both styles of filework definitely have there place.

the filework really does have to fit the knife. I've been really looking to try some of that liner only filework of yours, I just need a big enough canvas to work on (trying that on something like a peanut would be.....interesting )

For a "work" knife, a great choice. I think I'll work on getting my fit and finish to your level though, before I start getting elaborate

Darksev, get you some pieces of brass and a hand full of files and go at it ! I love to do it, I kind of get in a rythem when I file, and the rest of the world fades away

you have good taste, imo. nuttin wrong about less is more! your soddie is a fine example i would carry with pride. art is as always in the eye of the beholder. i love the simple file patterns. i try to let my filework just flow. sometimes it works.

4ever3, the later is straight-up class on that 2-blade! WOW.

With the right tools and a few more years experience I see yourself and MM going a long way in this hobby.

You'll be making scratch folders as fine as some of the guys out there now in no time!
