Knife Identification Help

I am hoping there is someone who can help me identify this knife. I recently came across it in a batch of other knives I purchased. I identified all of the other knives, but try as I might I can't seem to identify where this knife was made or its age. There is a symbol on the blade, faded a bit with what looks like patina.

Any if would be appreciated, I just discovered this forum and wish I found it sooner.

Thanks.

Welcome to AAPK. Sorry I can’t identify the maker of your knife. My initial impression is, it looks Asian, but the mark looks like maybe Arabic. ::shrug:: You can possibly enhance the mark to make it more legible by using the graphite (lead) end of a pencil. Simply rub the mark with the pencil lead and then wipe off any excess with a soft cloth/rag. The graphite is abrasive enough to remove iron oxide/tarnish, but will not damage the steel.
