All About Pocket Knives

Met two really nice knife dealers at the Dover show last weekend. Rarely does a small fixed blade do anything for me, but when I saw this beauty, it called to me and I jsut had to have it. The name of the company is Blind Horse Knives, in Ohio. The owner manufacturers are L.T. Wright and Dan Coppins. Tactical Knives just did a feature story on their knives as they have an excellent variety of fixed blades. This little beauty is 5 3/4" in length and has some of prettiest fiddleback curly maple on a knife. The pictures really aren't that good since the handles look brighter than what they should. The steel is 4140 made from Vermont saw blades. The price was incredibly low at $40.00 for the knife and a belt sheath was $10.00 and neck sheath was $12.00. Their web address is http://www.blindhorseknives.com. This model is called the Colonial Patch Knife. If you think you want one, I'd get it soon as these sold like hotcakes at the show.

Man, I kept going back and looking at that knife and just couldn't resist. For the price it was a bargain and shave sharp.

Great knives Jim and great guys, I talked to L.T. for about 30 mins this morning. He's a class act.

Great looking knives Jim. I just checked out their web site, and they have some really nice stuff! Their "small workhorse" knife comes with an optional kydex/leather sheath with belt slots.

I have a couple of neck knifes with kydex sheaths, so I'm in there fooling around to see how to modify one for my belt and how it will "draw."

It's quickly soaking through the band aid; I hope I don't need a couple of stitches to close it! Who said a dull knife is more dangerous..........................

Well Gary it happens to all of us at one time or another. I'm no doctor but I have used fast drying super glue to close a wound. Mostly so my wife won't say "I told you so!"

I did get caught once though. I had cut my finger rather deeply on a big table saw and I sealed it up as usual but it hurt for 3 months or so. I had an x-ray for a problem with my right hand and it showed that the bone in my fore finger had been splintered. Busted right then and there. My wife no longer goes to Dr appointments with me, but she watches me like a hawk. Oh Well!

Gary, the rule of thumb is, if you can't get it to stop bleeding in a resonable length of time, you NEED stiches! The more important QUESTION is, when was the last time you had a Tetnus Shot?

I have seen them before, Jim, and they make nice knives at great prices!

Their website had been down and I was worried they had gone out of business or something.
