Can't find info on those knives

I have two knives that I haven't been able to get info on.
One is a 3-blade Ranger but is marked 'Sabre USA' and I have only found one reference to that style but it was of an old auction and wouldn't let me see any info.
Couldn't find any other Rangers that are Sabre.
The other is a 3-blade Old Timer that is marked 'Schrade USA 340T.
It is a PPG Safety 1993 award and I haven't been able to find anything on that either.
Amy help would be greatly appreciated

My guess on the Ranger/Sabre USA is probably made by Colonial.
The Schrade 34OT is just that, very common sold in numerous places. Your has a stamp on it that was customized from some company
to be given as an award to certain employees.

Cool USA made knives, I can tell you PPG stands for Pittsburgh Paint & Glass. Once upon a time there was a factory very close to where I grew up. lf you look on your USA made car windshield you will probably see a PPG label.

The 34OT is indeed a standard model with a little engraving or stamping. I don't know if PPG did an SFO or had a third party put the safety award bit on it. It's a cool piece regardless of who made it distinctive from a standard 34OT!

Those are both good knives. The Schrade is really no more valuable with the PPG stamp on it - probably holds the same value or slightly less than a model without the embossing.
Colonial did make USA knives for Sabre, and the "Ranger" line of knives were a mid-quality knife back in the day.
Probably not a lot of collector value in either, but if sharpened and put in your pocket, either would make a good EDC knife.
