All About Pocket Knives

I've got a couple of 1980s Remington Bullet knives with little cracks at the end, near the lanyard hole. Should these be secured somehow (epoxy, glue...), Or just left alone? I'm afraid they may widen.

You can fix handle cover cracks with a product called Zap-a-gap. See here for details viewtopic.php?f=37&t=67249

The cracks on those Remingtons are commonplace on those patterns - the old bone handled originals have the same problem. It’s unlikely the cracks will get worse but you never know what father time will do.

I really don't like leaving open cracks like that in knives in my collection. I'm not sure if they are going to get wider or not, but I have to believe that dirt and crud will accumulate in the cracks. I usually clean the cracks first with rubbing alcohol and then, for wider cracks like those, use zap-a-gap gel, and sand smooth after it fully hardens (at least 24 hours). I have also filled large cracks with epoxy that I have dyed to match the scale material.
