As an opinion only, that tang stamp is a much later stamp for Eye Brand cutlery. I don't believe it was in use prior to the 1993 bankruptcy of Carl Schlieper and prior to Olbertz taking over the manufacturing side of the business. My best guess is that it began to be used at some point after 2010, this coming from watching the cutlery offerings on eBay and other sites through the 1990's and early 2,000's. There are others here that could possibly pin point a closer time frame through their observations and collecting efforts.

Can you post pictures of the entire knife, blades closed and blades open, both sides. Then the knife can be better assessed.
At present i am in agreement with Joe. A recently made knife. If so the question becomes "Made where ?". Germany has very lax laws regarding country of origin stamping. A knife can be made in China, but marked "Germany" as long as some final finishing step is done in Germany.
