All About Pocket Knives

Local antique show find.

That’s two beautiful knives that you have. I never run into anything like those. And if I do find ones that good, it comes with a huge price.

Really good shape too.

Paid $100 for the pair, so I’m pretty happy. Cleaned them up, all blades fire and lock.

Awesome score! I've seen a few for around $100 EACH in parts shape. Never seen a Shapleigh version either.



I usually carry a small penknife around the house, and maybe GEC will consider producing something like the old pressbutton penknives. My state is loosening its auto laws starting in July, and I plan to add a few. Most autos are just too tactical for my tastes, and I'm not the biggest fan of Stilletos. Press Button Knife Co./Schrade made some really attractive ones, but few have been reproduced. Big fan of the pens and the Hunter's Pride.

I carry a Kershaw Blur, or SOG Flash II, both cam-assisted. After a small push, they both open like autos. Inexpensive, and legal.

Mike Latham has some of the nicest autos I've seen! They're expensive, but they are all quality hard to come by pieces, so should you pull the trigger you can be sure you'll be getting a great knife!
