has anybody ever seen a old bullet knife with a extra pin about 1/8 of a inch on top of the lanyard holes on both side?

This is just a personal observation, but I'd say roughly 10% of the vintage Remington 1306's i see have the extra pin. One would imagine that the extra pin would help hold the stag better than just the peened laynard sleeve. Heres a pic of one of mine.

This one just sold on Ebay- might be the one you were referring to.

thats the one, i sure wanted to bid! the extra pins and the fact the tang stamp was gone, kept me from bidding on it. i assumed the extra pins were original, but didnt want to gamble beings it was a bullet.

I had the knife one my watch list but didn't bid. It was the real deal. Had real nice handles, worn tang hurt the value some.
