Knife Blade Etching Placement

I’m looking for a little feedback on knife blade etching placement. (I know some of you don’t care for etchings at all and that’s okay. We can discuss that in another thread).
I’ve created a blade etching mark for knives with larger blades (Schrade 35ot, 125ot, 225ot, LB7 etc.). In theory the mark can go anywhere on the blade. I’ve settled a couple of locations on the blade but I’d like to get some feedback on what other folks think.

undecided both look properly located ~Back towards the Tang looks good on thinner widths ...Ilike under the nick on a large blade the most Very cool Jeff

From an aesthetics viewpoint I like the etch under the nail nick. From a practical perspective the one further back toward the tang makes sense as it will take longer to become worn or sharpened away over time - which I realize would take a lot of use and sharpening! JMO

Probably #2 if #1 is partially visible in the frame when closed.

I like them both but Position #1 gets my vote.
It should be noted that when I hit the Reply button and then view the original post, the photos are switched. Maybe it's just my computer but that's what I'm seeing. They are different in the thread body than they are when viewed within in the Reply feature. 1 is 2 and 2 is 1.
My vote for Position #1 is for the etch that is closer to the tang.

I think the etch under the nail nick looks more balanced but would be happy either way.

Looks like its fairly close with 8 folks preferring it near the tang and 6 folks preferring it near the nail nick and a few folks liking it in either position.
Thanks for the compliments on the etch logo. I created it using my basic graphic skills (a stylized version of the mythical Phoenix with the SLK text under it).
There's a balancing act with what size will fit on a blade and what will be visible once its etched. I've got two etch stencils that I'm currently using with a third one possibly coming (something for the smaller blades).
