Duisy Steel knife

I just bought this one and haven't received it yet. It's marked Duisy Steel (Solingen), and I've never heard of it. It looks like a pretty well made knife. I've been able to find a couple doing internet searches, but they are both shadow pens, sort of like E. Bruckmann knives. I've seen a few straight razors too. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has some info to share.

Thanks!
Keith

From Anthony Carter's "German Knife and Sword Makers", I believe it is likely C. Duisberg. Founded in 1881. Head office was in Vienna, Austria. Manufacturing was in Solingen. Carter does not give a lot of information. The business was still operating in 2002. Their trademark was "a twin-tailed rampant lion on each side of vertical sword, pommel upward". The mark on your knife is a somewhat simplified version of the mark shown in Carter's book. Good looking knife, nice stag. ::tu::
