Been fishin' in the shallow end of the bay again.

This one caught my attention and for $1.00 + shipping, I'm now the proud owner.

- 3 5/8" closed length, no stamp on blade.

- Half stop with strong, strong walk and talk!

- 1/8" thick spring, steel bolsters, shackle and liners.
The wooden handles are well fitted, and the pins can't be felt with the finger. Somebody did a good job once upon a time.

- There is some blade wear and a small ding on the tip of the sheep foot style blade.
Any ideas about this knife, who, when and where?

Is it a foreign made knife or an old USA cheap brand?
I would appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks

Is it possible it was a TL-29 that was cut down to a single blade? That is the vibe I am getting from it.
The bail in that location reminds me of a certain manufacturer, but I can't place which one. Maybe one of the TL-29 collectors can add something.
Looks American, but could also be Japan made

Thanks for the comments, fellers.
I've noticed the placement of the bail/shackle on the older knives of the TL-29 types is usually placed further from the end of the knife as this one is.
I'll do my best to dress up the blade dings and then throw it in the pile with the rest of the orphans.

Years ago I could find a "BUCK" knife every time I went looking. They're getting rarer than hens' teeth now. J.O'.
