All About Pocket Knives

I've had this knife for many years and suspected it was not made by Robeson. The blade is stamped "Robeson Suredge Frozen Heat." The tang stamp has the blocked "Robeson Suredge U.S.A." and this stamp is listed as 1940-1964 vintage. I know the Robeson name was sold around 1965 and was acquired by different knife manufacturers over the years. Also, the model number coding does not match up to a Robeson knife. The first digit 9 would indicate the handle material is "Gun Metal" but the scales are clearly Rosewood. I think the knife was made by Queen Cutlery in the 1970s. If someone could provide the identity of who made this knife it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is a late Robeson, late 1950s-early 1960s just before Robeson went under. Emerson Case developed the "frozen heat" tempering process while president of Robeson.

I've got one of those Robeson's.
It's a great knife. Yours is in better shape than mine by a bit.
Also, our nail pulls are a bit different.

Yes, these knives are very well made but I'm just not sure they were made by Robeson.

Anyone have an idea of value for this knife? I have one from my dad's collection I'm trying to sell. Thanks fellas

Definitely made by Robeson. As Gene said, 1950's to 60's.

Queen did later make quite a few knives with the Robeson trademarks, but with completely different tooling and different tang stamps as compared to those.
