Hi,names Joe. New to this forum. Would appreciate some help identifying this knife. I have had the two knives for several years. The one im most interested in seems to be a case knife. The Trapper series. The clip blade reads USA 6354 ss and the spey blade reads USA 3254 cv. No case tang on either. What do yall think?

Good Mornin', Joe.

to AAPK!
From a distance your knives appear to be regular Case Trappers. If we could see the stamps a little closer up, someone might have an idea. Seems odd not to have the Case name on the clip blade.
The clip usually has the Case name and date info and the spay usually has the pattern number. It appears both of your knives should be 3254's but there are always irregularities. The 6254 blade would be in a bone handled frame, usually.
Can't make out the old electricians TL-29 style knife, it appears to be an older one by the placement of the shackle.
Hang in there Joe, someone will have a more accurate answer.

Welcome to AAPK. Looking forward to some better pictures, but the yellow handled knives are both clearly Case trappers, as evidenced by the word Case on the shields of both knives. One looks to be stamped Case on its tang. The other may be an anomaly (factory error) or have had a blade or handle covers replaced. Better pictures might tell.
You can find a lot more about Case knives by clicking on “Research” in the header up there at the top of this page.
The others are electrician knives also known as radio knives or TL-29s, after the military specification for them. Numerous cutleries made the pattern as the military contracted for hundreds of thousands of them.
