All About Pocket Knives

As some of you know (Jeffinn ) sent me a box of beater knives to experiment on to build my knife repair skills. It had a Camillus Jack knife in the box that had a cracked scale and junk blades. I found a doner and made a knife from both. Not a collector's piece but a good user. It took me 4 tries to get everything right with fixing the angle back of the blade to adding tension to the springs. It's not perfect but she is a good user. Just thought I would share a picture of the knife.

Nice looking work Nev! I have the same question as Tom. How are you restoring tension to the springs? I have read about and seen pictures of a procedure known as "moving the hole", but I haven't tried it yet. I have had some success with welding steel onto a spring to fill in a "divot" or depression when one has been worn in the spring, but frequently I find that the problem is more due to metal loss from the blade tangs.
