All About Pocket Knives

Finally decided I should find out what this knife was. VERY pleasant surprise to say the least. EIG Cutlery, Italy. 50's picklock, kris blade, 9 inch in very good condition. It had been laying in my late hubby's shop for at least 10 years. Was very hard to open and a challenge to close. Excellent snap, no blade wobble.
Couldn't press the button hard enough with my thumb so pressed it against the edge of the desk. Is there any way to make it a little easier to open? Hadn't ben opened for 10+ years. The "ears" to close it are tiny!
I did some looking online, not many out there and didn't see any as nice as this. Imma happy camper!

In the photos the safety is "on". When you tried to operate the firing button was the little safety in the same position? You need to disengage the safety by sliding it towards the rear of the knife before firing. If you did get it open with the safety engaged I hope you didn't damage the safety.

I am familiar with how the safety works. Not my first rodeo.

I would try a few drops of Quick Release. Nice knife Boji!

Use either the vry tip or the ball of your thumb to press the button. Oil will help. Put a little in the hole in the blade.

Like Quick release oil!

Was not familiar with the Quick Release oil, read up on it and ordered. Thanks for the info!
