All About Pocket Knives

Early this morning we received word that Joy's 98-year-old dad, Willard Redditt, had fallen and was taken to the hospital.
Test reveal several issues, possible heart attack, a UTI, and a few other issues. He had a couple of rounds with dehydration and a mild case of the covid a month or so ago. Things look pretty grim from what we are hearing. One of Joy's brothers will be leaving north Georgia and picking her up tomorrow around noon to make the trip down to Orange County.
Please pray with us that Grandpa will be comfortable, and the Lord will be merciful to him. He is ready to go, and we know he is just a breath away from his eternal reward.

Holy Father.... We pray that you would pour out a blessing on Mr Willard and his loving family. He has been a faithful servant to you on this earth for many years. Please allow all his loved ones to gather around him and show him their love. Father, we know your goodness and mercy are everlasting. Please allow Mr Willard to experience the fullness of your mercy. Please surround him with you loving heavenly hosts.
May you perfect will be done.

Really sorry to read about Miss Joy's dad. I hope he will be comfortable and at ease. I will pray for all of you.

Prayers sent

Thank you for your continued prayers and kind thoughts for Miss Joy's dad.
Joy reported last night that her dad is now in a private room, responding with a few yes or no responses, still very weak and ill.
She and her siblings, one by phone, had a family pow-wow yesterday afternoon concerning the options concerning their dad's continued care and other possibilities. Hospice and funeral plans were part of the conversation.
She said some might think they are giving up on him with such conversation, but for the most part they all understand the issues with a 98-year-old father that is seriously ill.
One thing for sure, he has walked with the Lord for many years and is not afraid to move to his heavenly home. He has talked about it for years.
Continue to pray for his comfort, that special peace is already there.

He sounds like a very good man who has a very wonderful family.
Father I pray you would surround this Christian brother with your love and peace. Comfort those who will miss him at the time of his homecoming and assure them that he will be walking the streets of gold with our Savior Jesus Christ. In all things may Your will be done, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Update on Joy's dad:
Praise God! Just a few minutes ago, we received a picture of Grandpa sitting up in a chair! The doctor refused to the request for hospice but will prescribe rehab and then home health! What a bunch of good news. Also, he tested free of covid symptoms this morning.
We are very hopeful as a family.
Please continue to remember Grandpa in your prayers. We know this may only be a temporary rally, but it appears to be a miracle in the making.
