Can anyone tell me what year or years this knife was manufactured.

Khyber was a Kabar line from the Cole National era while Kabar was HQ'd in Cleveland Ohio..

Any Khyber knife model number is the same as the Kabar line knife.

The Kabar 1607 was an active model from 1981 to 1998.

The Khybers were from the earlier part of that time frame. Call it 1981 - 1982. Most likely just a single production run of each model since they are so seldom seen on the secondary market compared to the numbers of Kabar stamped versions..

The knives were made to the same standards, by the same factories in Seki Japan.

Khyber was a brand imported by Kabar in the 70s and 80s. Both were owned by the same company...Cole National.

And he posted that it was 1976 to 1983, which is 5 years before it could have been made (1981).
