I have a Case Question....
Can anyone tell me about the floating dots on case knives? On the tang it has Case XX over 3 dots ( kinda like this : . ) over USA........ I would think it's an 87 but it's has newer shield. at least this is my thinking..... would this be some kind of Reproduction?

Thanks for any help>

Jody,
Not likely from the 1980s. I believe they had straight line dots, but with lightning 'S's. It would seem to be 1990s or 2000s. Check out the ARTICLES link up at the top of the page. It has good illustrations that clear up the age question. :D

heres a pic of a knife i had with the floating dots. they were used mid to late 90s, 95 or 96 thru 99 i believe. im not sure which other patterns they used them on but ive mostly seen them on these.......this one is a small lockblade 61225L. i used to have one of these in stag, but sold it off. most of the ones with the floating dots that ive seen listed on ebay are listed as 80s instead of 90s but they were made in the 90s.
