Boker USA 8229 / 9229

A little help here please . Bought this at a small gun show last year . Doing some checking on it and can find a 9229 and they seem to be running about 35 to 40 bucks . My question is this 8229/ 9229 is that the model number and is it worth the 30 that he wanted for it ? It’s tight ,half stops . Some light scratches on main .
Don’t know anything about Boker so appreciate any help . Thank you .

I don't know the model number J.P. but it's an Electrician's knife, hence the curved and screwdriver blades. Don't know the value either, but if it's a Boker it's worth the $30. he wanted, or more. Nice knife!
EDIT: I just did a search and it seems that the 9229 has a spear-point and a wire-stripper/screwdriver blades, and the 8229 is what you have with the additional Hawk Bill blade.

I am pretty sure that's a later knife, actually made in Germany. Those that have the nail nick on the screwdriver further backare, in fact, USA made. Those that feature the nick near the tip of the blade are German.
Worth the $30, I'd say so. Boker electrician's knives aren't as common as Camillus, that's for sure. That is the first I have seen with all three blades, so it may be rather uncommon. Mine is the traditional configuration, and my grandfather's has the hawkbill blade.
For comparison, the Klein models new at my local electrical supply house range from $25-35 depending on the configuration. Klein and Utica I believe are the last American makers of the traditional electrician's knife. In addition to being not that great, the Bear version is only offered in hawkbill configuration and the current (sold by Ideal, Xcelite, and Technitool also) Colonials are murky in terms of country of origin.

Thanks Cody . When at the Gun show I first said no to it .But, Had never seen a Boker Electrician knife With Both these blades and the tool blade ,so grabbed it . Really not my thing so will be selling it and a couple other Bokers that have no interest in . If you’re interested ,shoot me a pm and you can have it for 35.00 shipped . Otherwise am going to list here later for 40 shipped .
