Do you favor one knife over another?

I don't mean do you favor one knife over another in your collection, but...do you favor knife styles over others. Some I just don't like. Sunfish come to mind.
Like if you saw a peanut, stockman and coke bottle, but you could only buy one of the three, which one would you get? If you saw a whitter, karambit, toothpick and trapper and could only buy one, which one would you get?
Or even this.....how about a top five of your favorite styles.

Mine, in no particular order, would be

1. Karambit
2. Trapper
3. Peanut
4. Tactical
5. Coke Bottle

Put three knives on a table and tell me to pick one, it just may very well boil down to what catches my eye and/or my mood of the moment.

But in most cases...

Blades
1) 3 blades
B) 2 blades
Third) 1 blade
IV) Fixed blade
Least) 4+ blades, to include multi-tools/ SAK

Length:
1) 3.75 +/- .25 inches
B) 3 to 3.5 inches
Third) 4 to 4.25 inches
Least) over 4.25 or under 3 inches

Handle:
1) Bone
B) Wood
Third) Stag
IV) Synthetic
Least) MOP or metal

Steel:
SS or CV, doesn't matter, as long as it's coming from a reputable maker

Gunstock
Copperhead
Mini trapper
Trapper
Medium stockman /Canoe. (toss up)
Some Copperheads I don't care for but the older RR's are my favorite knife. The design proportions are just right on them for me.. Visually and in use. Of course, they should of had a clip / wharnie combo on some though. ::pray::

OLDE CUTLER, this is a fixed blade karambit. There are folding kinds also and they vary in design.

I like just about any traditional medium size single blade folding knife, but most of all the Barlow.
I prefer carbon steel blades and bone handles.

Seems like I've rode this 🐎 before.
1 congress.
2 jack ( jack encompasses any knife that the blades swing open from one one end . Barlows, trappers hunters etc.etc) mho.
3 cattle knives.
4 stockman.
All the rest.
Exceptions russlocks and karambits put me to mind of some kind of alien type horror movie ::woot:: ::uc:: although I believe the karambit would make a good pruner, I can't get by the ugly.
What is it they say " different strokes for etc.etc. ::hmm:: ::handshake::

I kinda go for the whittlers, congress and sowbelly knives. Multiple blades that dont rub seem like they take more crafting to do a good job which is a part of the attraction.. But then, any good knife attracts me. pretty much, Queen made is the kicker.

My head is spinning. This is too much like, you and your 12 kids are in a burning building and you can only save one. Which one would it be? ::dang::

Edit: If you put my feet to the fire, it would come out something like this.

My first love was Doctor Knives.
Then I started playing the field and fell head over heals for Camillus 72's and their clones.
Then I was introduced to and got the hots for Case Mini-Trappers and to a lesser degree other mini-trappers.
Kershaw Leeks, plus to a lesser extent the rest of the Onion series and various other Kershaw patterns, have had my attention.
Copperheads and mini-copperheads have made an occasional guest appearance as have most anything with a Wharncliffe blade.
I was bit by the GEC bug with my favorite being the #48 Improved Trapper.
My problem is I have a wandering eye and am easily distracted by anything shiny. ::facepalm::

My favorite is the Stockman, but that is probably because I've always carried one. Not so much that a stockman is better or more useful than other patterns. I'm fond of small barlows as well. It may be that I like the older patterns the best.

When it comes to handles, I'm probably the only person in the world who would choose this, but my favorite is black saw cut Delrin like on Buck knives. I've had a lot of them and they hold up great and still look good after a lot of use. Wood handles change colors and wear around the edges. Bone is OK, but it can crack. My preference is for neutral and natural colors. Almost all my knives are black, brown or natural textures like stag. I don't collect bright colored knives or ones with fancy inlay or pictures on them. I don't like etching on the blades, but I'm stuck with that because just about everyone does that now.

What is not to like about a stockman, just a useful all round EDC. Has blades for all jobs and tasks, and steeped in history. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::nod::

I agree totally. When I was young i had no use for one but now as I'm older they seem perfect to me.
Otherwise it's a jack or copperhead for me
