K'roo

A few months ago I posted this message: "I have a K'roo Barlow with sneezewood scales. One of the scales cracked. I asked for help in finding someone to replace the scales. And I've already found someone. So, thanks to those who responded. When the repaired knife is returned I'll post a picture. Again, everyone's help is greatly appreciated."
So, here's a picture of what is now a perfect Barlow. The sneezewood scales were replaced and the bolster was engraved in part to cover up the pivot ends, which were visible. The kangaroo isn't related to the "K'roo" name. A few years ago I spoke at a conference in Perth, Australia. While I was there I visited an animal park. A wallaby came up to be petted. We visited for quite a while and I remember him fondly. Now he's memorialized on the bolster.

Willem O'Kelly makes a fine knife. Interested in who did the repair/mod work, it looks great!

Muskrat Man did the scales and a young Connecticut man whose day job is aerospace welder engraved the bolster. By the way -- why is it so hard to find people who can, or will, engrave knives?

Beautiful Barlow and teriffic story CV!
You can't go wrong employing Kaleb's skills to work on your knife, and I think the wallaby connection is just wonderful! Great way to remember your little friend!

When I first started posting on AAPK, there was a guy who did amazing engraving work, forget who it was now and I haven't seen him around in several years.
