English Imperial

I posted this in an older thread and got no response.
This must be a really rare tang stamp.
I looked through all by books, even Tweedales and can find nothing.
The tang stamp is:
"IMPERIAL" in an arch
ENG
SHEFFIELD

I find it hard to believe that it has anything to do with the American Imperial company, but I don't really know.
I would say this knife is from the early 1900s.

Looking for some help with information.

Beautiful knife David ::tu:: ::tu:: I have never seen that tang stamp before either. I rely on Tweesdales also, so I can’t help you out. Maybe Dimitri or someone else will see this and have some information about it? I’m wondering myself also. Great find though!!

Also, I forgot to mention it is a lockback. You can't see the release very well in the picture.
