Boker is well-known and respected American brand. Hermann Boker & Co. is one of the oldest names in American cutlery, founded in 1831 in New York City by immigrants Hermann and Robert Boker. The company initially imported cutlery from Sheffield, England and Germany. In 1899 they began manufacturing pocketknives in Newark, NJ, and in 1929 moved to a new factory in Maplewood, NJ. In 1869 their cousin Heinrich Böker had opened a factory in Solingen, Heinrich Böker & Company, to manufacture cutlery which was distributed by Boker USA. Boker USA continued manufacturing quality cutlery until the factory was closed in 1984, after which the name, trademarks and distribution rights were sold to Heinrich Böker of Solingen Germany. - source: Levine’s Guide to Knives

I've been moving this forum around a bit. Apologies if it is causing problems finding it, etc...Louisville.Boy1947 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:43 am Should this sub forum be here or should it be in the 'brand specific' section ?![]()
Bryan, it's difficult to be organized when the spectrum of conversations are as broad as they are on AAPK. Always remember, ya can't please everyone.Bryan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 6:22 pmI've been moving this forum around a bit. My current thoughts are that the brand specific forums are becoming crowded and we likely need to reorganize a bit. I seen somewhere someone mentioned the structure of the AAPK forum is not well thought out and I agree. I'm 100% responsible for that.
I'll be working on it as time permits. Suggestions very much welcomed![]()
My suggestion Bryan is that you keep on doin' exactly what you're doin'! You have a tireless job running this forum and you do an excellent job staying on top of all the issues, even when some members seem to make things more difficult than necessary! Like Jerry and Ricky Nelson said, "ya can't please everyone so ya gotta please yourself"! Thanks for your expert leadership!Bryan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 6:22 pmI've been moving this forum around a bit. There is a reason that members cannot change a post after a certain amount of time or after another post has been made after it. That keeps someone from getting upset the deleting information as I saw several years ago in Blade Forums.eveled wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 3:49 pm FWIW, I think the layout is fine.
I use the New Post function rather than scan each section. If I am researching something specific I use the search function.
My only very minor complaint is not being able to edit posts after the time is up. My OCD brain doesn’t like to leave spelling mistakes uncorrected. Sometimes I notice them years later![]()
