I picked this up sunday from a market, the blade had a lot of side to side play and the bolsters was loose, I re fitted the bolster and blade, re profiled the blade to a nice point and polished it up, I've looked on line but cant find much out about these, I was thinking Japanese? I see frost did some with comanche on the blades , this has no stamp just the etching , very nice bone covers , anyone know about these ::tu::

Goins 1998 shows a Comanche Cutlery Surgical Steel on Page 66
c1980's "Pakistan" stamped with ink on the back of the blade.

A google search shows pictures of knives similar to yours with the same blade stamp

Paul,
Here is a picture of Comanche Taskmaster 4 that I thought look similar? The auction that sold the 2 knives listed them as Brass and two piece wooden gripped pocket knife with folding 4 inch blade and the other as pocket knife with antler grips and 3.5 inch blade named Comanche Taskmaster No. 4.

Frost also used the Comanche name but I did not find any Frost using Comanche Taskmaster name. So I do not know who made your knife but it is still a good looking

That frame style with slanted bolsters sure looks familiar, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Bone-Handle Comanche
Bone-Handle Comanche
Trying to find out more about this knife and Comanche Cutlery (Pakistan) in general. I bought it at the local antique mall.

The blade release is extremely stiff. I have to use a thick bit of cloth to get enough pressure on it to close the blade safely.

Welcome to AAPK. Your knife sounds dangerous! ::woot:: And not very useful. Be careful!

Maybe someone knows more than what has already been shared in the prior posts in this thread, but if so I’ll be surprised.
