All About Pocket Knives

Let's see your figural knives! I'll start it out with this...

I just got this pretty little picture scene gentleman's knife. It's branded for the Hoffritz stores https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoffritz_for_Cutlery in New York, but it is likely made by Calibri in Solingen, Germany. Nice image of a day out automobiling (with the driver on the European side). I'm guessing this is from the 60s or 70s. It was never used. It still has the factory burr on the blades.

A very interesting piece and looks to be of excellent quality. Fine acquisition. A collection focused on figurals could have great appeal.

Pretty knife,but not really a figural. Figural knives are those that have a figural shape to the knife, not a normally shaped knife with depictions stamped in the handle scales. Knives shaped like shoes or automobiles for instance are figural knives. Only the British and UK drivers drive right side, all of Europe drives left side drivers like we do.

Not sure what the correct term is for knives having stamped metal covers like the OP knife, but I like them and have a few. They seem to be especially common in Europe for knives commemorating various popular tourist places, buildings, statues, etc.
