All About Pocket Knives

I have this one in my collection. It is a Kissing Crane contracted to Boker in the 60's. I understand there are 2 more to the set of three. My question is how hard would it be to find the other 2.

Very nice leverlock Smitty! I would think that availability would be your biggest obstacle to overcome in finding the remaining 2 knives. Just constant searching is about all you can do, and hope to get lucky. I know the one you own is the first one like it I've ever seen, and I search the internet all day everyday for new knives, so best of luck!

It's not a Kissing Crane. The markings were made to deceive.
These were imported in the late 1970s (if my memory is correct) and were marked to appear old.
Finding the other 2 will be a chore, but stay diligent.

I am sorry but it is a Kissing Crane. The other two models were the Guardian and the Dread Naught, which are etched on the blade in the same fashion as the Keen Tickler.

That isn't the Klass Kissing Crane marking. Look again.

Here is an add with info about this knife. Looks to me like it might be true

Smitty! Your knife may very well be a K/C, although, Bill D. has been repairing knives for a very long time and has worked on 1000's of autos. I'd have to say that the cranes etched on your knife really don't look like the actual K/C cranes from their logo. Another thing to consider is that AIK doesn't always provide accurate information, if there's something they aren't sure of it's not beyond them to embellish the facts a little. Jus' sayin'!

If it is or isn't that is ok I don't mind. I will tell you this a old knife collector friend just offered me way north of what I have in it, but it is not for sale. And oh by the way I have been a knife makers for more than 40 years so I understand "expert speak".

The logo on these is storks or cranes, but it's not the Klaas mark.
These knives were made to look old for sale during the 70s-80s, as "antiques" may not have been as frowned upon as modern switchblades.

The ad pictured says " has full "Guardian" eagle blade etch". The original picture shown doesn't appear to have an Eagle blade etch, just the cranes/storks.. Not personally knowledgeable about this specific knife, but interesting discussion. Cool knife, always liked this pattern. Tom

I bought a lever lock in Cologne, Germany June 1976 that appears identical to XBMX that was linked to this thread. Mine is only tang stamped Rostrei forward slant. Trying to identify who made it, for whom, and why? Was it supposed to be a clone or prototype or factory seconds. Facebook Group said it was Gianni Octavio Massaro made?

JW's knife was made by Falcon (Campolin) in Maniago for Klaas,
