Friend of mine in our fishing club gave me this tonight. Wasn't sure where to post it. IMPERIAL, Chrome plated, cast metal knife/scaler combo.Fairly heavy. Stainless blade is etched with the Crown stamp and "Imperial-"Veri-Sharp". Cast in the handle is the patent number and "Made IN USA".
Odd piece.50's-60's ?????

J.O'.

This is the first time seeing a knife like this. I am surprised at the serrated blade. I have never cleaned fish with a serrated blade and wouldn’t think of using one. The scaler looks like it would work great.

Have to say I’ve never seen one. Must not have made an awful lot of them. Edge on knife looks kind of like the “Wonda” edge Schrade used.

Nice one! What is odd is that despite the design looking odd, and more decorative than practical, it's got staying power. I have seen copies of that that are still produced today, in China, obviously.

I knew I had seen one somewhere ... and wondered about the practicality of it.

Thanks Skip and Royal for the references. It's a goofy thing, but cool. I agree the blade is not the design for fishing use. It's a paring knife blade. As a long time fisherman, I've seen a lot of crazy tackle box trinkets that make one wonder. J.O'.

Found another one today. Perfect condition. Didn't buy it but it's only $15. Anybody interested I could get it and ship it to you. Let me know. Here or PM. J.O'.

Cool little tool J.O'.!

The way the 2 pieces interconnect almost makes me think that Blackie Collins may have had a hand in the design!?

They are different. Kind of a "specialty" collectible. J.O'.
