Letting it go.

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Been praying for a way out of the job I'm in. ::nod:: Today I recieved a two weeks notice letter. My last day of work there is on Dec. 16th. ::hmm:: It was no big secret that I was stressed out there. I guess they figured I would be looking for something else and the Boss would rather fire someone than see them quit. I have been there for 2 1/2 months & I am the 4th person they have fired in that time. ::shrug::

First time I have ever been fired or let go. ::undecided:: Oh well, I hated the job anyways. ::nod:: Just caught me off gaurd. The timing suchs! Right before Christmas. ::doh::

Oh well, heads up. No use crying over a bad job. ::hmm:: Such hateful people there. ::td::

Tom once I was offered a temporary job with an insurance company. I turned it down because I had a full time job and couldn't quit it for something that I knew would be temporary. The same day I turned down the offer, I was notified that my entire shift was going to be laid off indefinitely in just a few days. I called the insurance company president the next morning and explained my change of circumstances and he very kindly hired me for the temporary job after all. Thirty six years later I retired from that "temporary" job with my home and farm fully paid for, two daughters put through college, and a decent retirement fund set aside. Had I not been terminated from the other job my career in the insurance business would have never happened. God had a plan for me and he's got one for you too. I'm praying for you.

I retired from the worse job I ever had. I worked in four different factories and the last one was the worst. There are times in life we have to do what we have to do. Hope something comes along for you soon.

I have let it go now. ::nod:: ::tu::

Was watching the news yesterday & another 500+ people have died from Covid over here in just one days time. ::facepalm:: Normal daily number. ::td::

Anyways, it finally dawned on me that this time off from work might just be a huge "Blessing". Who knows what the future holds? I will just enjoy this extra time with my family. Period. ::nod:: ::tu::

Tom, Prayers are sent to you this day in response to your situation. I feel badly for you, particularly at this time. Faith is the essence.
of things not seen, but believed as spiritual truths. You will rebound from this, because you believe in yourself and God! You will
get there. Good Luck!!!!

I can't really change the situation just by not liking it. But I can change the way I look at it or feel about it. ::hmm::

Love it! You are so correct. The only two things in life we can control is our attitude and our actions.

You said earlier you're trying to see this time off as a blessing. I had a year of unemployment, myself. An odd experience after 20 years Air Force. Thing is, I didn't see the blessing until after the trial. My wife was having a rough year physically and the time off gave me the opportunity to care for her and take her to her appointments. The year also gave me time to spend with my four year old grandson. Wouldn't trade it for the world!
The Lord saw us through financially, and has provided a job I couldn't be happier with. But I needed to go through the trial of unemployment first.
Hang in there, Tom, and know you're not alone in lifting your cries to our Father. He's seldom early, but He's never late!
Take care and God bless,

Steve

Nothing really yet Steve. I may have an interview in Januar if I didn't screw it up. I told them "no rush, I'm enjoying the time off". ::dang:: It was the truth right?

I stopped thinking about it for a few days. I let it go. ::tu:: Been concentrating on Christmas, family & not thinking about it for a few days. God's timing is not the same as my timing. ::hmm::

I guess I should start looking for job openings again though. Guess I will do that on Monday. ::hmm::
