The long pull implies pre-1984 production and the visible bolster rivets imply Camillus manufacture. Buck began making them in-house in 1984 and when they did they used a crescent nail nick. I can't find any info to pinpoint the exact year but I would estimate 1971-1983 production.

The first manufacture of the 309 Companion was by Camillus in 1972. Its tang stamp changed to 3 lines BUCK/309/USA c.1974. Buck first manufactured 309s in 1987.
Obviously yours is a Camillus. 300bucks also posted there were 5 variations so maybe posting pictures of both sides of the whole tang will enable a more knowledgeable member to date it closer.
